The Good Life Orphanage
8th Sep 2016
Hope you all had an enjoyable summer break?
Well it has been another busy month at The GLO & SBM School, with the education timetable changing in Kenya the children only had two weeks holiday in August not the normal month.
Kevin has returned to a cold & rainy Mombasa, lots to do over the next few months!!
All has been going well, we have managed to purchase a further two cows for our Shamba thanks to an unexpected donation from Bellway Homes, one of the cows had a healthy female calf just before arriving at The GLO which pleased everyone. We are still learning about milk production etc in Kenya which is very complicated indeed.
Our SBM school choir travelled to the National Music Competitions in Nairobi and we managed to win a trophy which is the pride of everyone in the school, we were up against stiff competition but still managed to be places 1st & 2nd.
The children are all doing well with Collins returning to St Peter’s Seminary in Kakamega for his final term of his first year.
Here are the blog updates for the month:
If you have a minute could you please add a comment to our blogs as the children check them all the time to see who is reading them and what people are saying.
Many thanks for your continued support for our project, together we are making a difference to so many !!
