Polish Business Mixer Seminar in Leeds

Last Wednesday our Polish speaking Solicitor Marta Grzelak attended the Polish Business Mixer Seminar in Leeds.  The event focused on business strategies and  considered  the changes companies need to make – and keep making – in order to become more competitive on the market. Expert speakers were discussing the most popular forms of doing business in the UK: self-employment, sole trader, limited liability company, partnership and other entities.

The event provided excellent opportunities to speak to the Polish entrepreneur community in the North; a particularly vibrant and dynamic group of business people. The event was supported and attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Manchester, Łukasz Lutostański and also by a few representatives from British Polish Chambers of Commerce.  There were also very interesting case studies from Polish entrepreneurs who are doing well in the UK. Some of these businesses are members of the Polish Networking Club run by Marta in Manchester.

The informal part of the meetings started with speed-networking, where participants have 30 seconds each to present themselves and their businesses to everyone else.

Polish Business Mixer in Leeds is a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 – the nation’s largest entrepreneurship-focused campaign. The Polish Networking Club meets every first Tuesday of the month and the next meeting is planned for 3rd December 2013.  If you want to attend the next meeting please email
