McHale Successfully Recovers £25,000 in mis-paid Care home fees

We have recently successfully recovered in the region of £25,000 on behalf of a client in respect of care home fees which should not have been paid towards his mother’s care.  We prepared and presented the case to a NHS Panel who found that the test for eligibility to receive funding had not been properly applied and that the NHS should have paid for her care.

Unfortunately for care received from 1 April 2004 to 31 March 2011, the deadline to ask the NHS to review their decision was 30 September 2012.  However for care received from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 the deadline is 31 March 2013.

If you have a relative who has resided in a care home and has not been deemed to be eligible for NHS funding, call us to discuss.  We may be able to help you recover monies which should not have been paid.
