In November McHale & Co proudly participated in the Paint Altrincham Blue initiative in support of men’s health issues.
This initiative was set up by Tony Collier, a local Accountant who was diagnosed at age 60 with incurable prostate cancer in 2017 and was told he only had 2-3 years to live.
Since his diagnosis, Tony has been raising awareness of men’s health issues, particularly prostate and testicular cancers and men’s mental health.
We were fortunate to welcome Tony to our office on Thursday 20th November to hear about his journey since his diagnosis and how he “changed his mindset from a dark place where he thought he was dying of cancer to realising that he is now living with cancer.”

To show our support to Tony and to raise awareness of men’s health, members of our team have taken part in a number of activities, such as:
1. Decorating the office blue
Kim and Geraldine from our reception team beautifully decorated the office blue and it has stayed blue throughout the month to raise awareness and encourage discussion about men’s health.

2. Participating in the Five-a-side Business Bowling Tournament organised by Altrincham BID
Adam, Fergus, Faisal and Mal had a fantastic time taking part in the bowling tournament to help raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK

3. Taking part in Movember
Nimish, Fergus, Phil, and Tom from our team participated in the Movember challenge to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK
They smashed their target of £500 and raised £1,342 for Prostate Cancer UK
