McHale & Co has bolstered its 32-strong real estate team with the appointment of experienced commercial property solicitor Andrew Marsden, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in its property offering following its recent move into new, dedicated workspace at Warrant House in Altrincham’s Market Quarter.
Andrew brings more than three decades of commercial property experience, having qualified as a solicitor in 1990. Over his career he has acted on a wide range of transactions including acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, property finance, leasehold matters, portfolio sales and purchases, and the property elements of corporate deals. He also has extensive experience advising on landlord and tenant matters across both commercial and residential assets, together with broader commercial work for owner-managed businesses.
Based in Altrincham throughout much of his career, Andrew joins McHale & Co from Haworth Holt Bell, where he has been a long-standing director and commercial property specialist. Earlier in his career he was a partner in several firms and headed the Manchester property department at Legal 500 firm Colemans Ctts, building a reputation for pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
In his new role at McHale & Co, Andrew will work across the firm’s expanding real estate client base – including investors, developers, landlords, occupiers and lenders – supporting matters ranging from day-to-day asset management through to complex, high-value transactions. His appointment follows the firm’s recent expansion into a new 4,500 sq ft floor at Warrant House, providing a modern home for the growing real estate team and space for further recruitment.
Kamil Tomaszewski, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Real Estate at McHale & Co, said: “Andrew’s experience in commercial property is exactly what we want at this stage of our growth. He’s handled the full spectrum of transactions our clients face – from investment acquisitions and development work through to complex leasehold and finance structures – and he does so with a genuinely commercial, solutions-driven approach. Our real estate team continues to see strong demand from investors, landlords and occupiers, both locally and nationally. Bringing in someone of Andrew’s calibre strengthens our ability to support that demand and gives our clients another trusted senior adviser they can turn to on their most important projects.”
Adam Horner, Managing Director at McHale & Co, said : “The move to Warrant House was a clear statement of intent about where we’re taking the real estate practice and the wider firm. Investing in senior talent like Andrew is the next step in that journey. We’re building a team that combines deep sector expertise with the accessibility and responsiveness McHale & Co is known for. Andrew fits that culture perfectly – he’s grounded, pragmatic and focused on getting the right outcome for clients – and I’m excited to see the impact he’ll have on the team and on the matters we’re handling.”
