I noted with interest that the TV programme HIGNFY captain Ian Hislop sustained injuries due to being struck by an electric bike whilst crossing the road.

Many cities have extended pilot schemes whilst the government assess whether to allow them nationwide. If one is injured in a pilot area then there will be insurance in place to compensate for injuries.
